ASKED QUESTIONS
General: How long do lamps
last? Where can I get more?
Projection systems currently listed on this web site are equipped with custom
arc lamps that must be purchased directly from us. See the chart below for
Rated Lamp Life of the individual units.* Arc lamps characteristically dim
with age gradually. Any projector using an arc lamp that suddenly turns
off should be checked with a call to the PLUS Vision Corp. Courtesy Center
at 1.800.211.9001 extension 3 to speak with a technician.

*The
rated lamp life is the average expected life of the lamps, however, the
actual lamp life may vary depending on the conditions of usage. Lamp life
can be directly related to ambient air temperature and usage cycles.
Lamps for the following projectors are also available from this website
or directly from PLUS at 1.800.211.9001 or online.
- MVP800: Rated lamp life of 500 hours.
- L-1020 and L-1020+: Rated lamp life of 2000 hours.
- VP100/VP800/VP800+: The VP series of projectors all use the Ushio
EVD36V400W halogen projector lamp available from the Lightware website
and better audio-visual stores. As with all halide (which includes halogen)
projection lamps, longer projection cycles provide better lamp life.
Visit the Ushio website at www.ushio.com
to locate the nearest dealer. Damage to the VP series of projectors
can occur by using the wrong projection lamp. Please only use Ushio
lamps.
