VP800 Series: I hooked up
my Mac but only get the logo screen.
- Different Macintosh models hook up in very different ways. Consult
your Macintosh owners manual for exact instructions. PLUS Vision
Corp. supplies, free of charge, a dipswitch Mac Adapter that solves
many Mac problems. Call 1-800-211-9001 to get these adapters.
- Check your VGA cable, and any adapters. Take both ends out of the
computer and projector. Check that no pins are bent, pushed in, or broken.
Reconnect everything.
- If you have the dipswitch adapter, use it. Make sure dipswitches 3,
4, 8, and 9 are on. If you do not have the dipswitch adapter, use the
Mac adapter labeled "MAC 8*6".
- Turn on the projector.
- Boot up the computer.
- If you have a desktop Mac, hook a desktop monitor to the projectors
RGB Out port, so you can see the software.
- Click the Apple icon, go to Control Panel, go to Monitors (or Monitors
and Sound).
- In the "Resolution" area, Select "Show All" instead
of "Recommended."
- Select "800x600", between 60 and 72 Hz. If one Hz setting
doesnt work, try them all.
- Close the dialog box. If the computer did not prompt you to reboot,
reboot the computer.
