PLUS VISION INTRODUCES A NEW BRIGHTER, HIGHER CONTRAST PROJECTOR TO ITS 2-POUND LINE
With 2000:1 Contrast, this new unit has the highest contrast ratio in its class
BEAVERTON, ORE. - January 28, 2003 - PLUS Vision Corporation of America,
the leader in projector miniaturization technology, announces the newest
addition to its popular 2-pound line of projectors, the V-1100. The new
XGA (1024x768) resolution V-1100 projector offers 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness
and a contrast ratio of 2000:1, the highest ratio in the industry for a
projector this size.
Approximately the size of a daily planner, the projector takes advantage
of the latest generation of Texas Instrument's 0.7" DDR Digital Light Processing™
technology.
"The PLUS V-1100 really takes advantage of the latest generation 0.7"
DDR DLP™ technology," said Lars Yoder, Manager of Business Products at the
DLP(tm) Products Division of Texas Instruments. "This, together with PLUS's
expertise, allows the V-1100 to feature not only 1,000 lumens of brightness
for attention-grabbing presentations but also an outstanding contrast ratio
that will help the V-1100 to deliver video images of excellent quality -
and all in a two pound package!"
Designed to enable presentations anytime, anywhere, the PLUS V-1100 includes
four-way digital keystone correction (both vertical and horizontal), and
a short-focus lens. With it, users can project large-screen presentations,
even in small spaces, with ease.
The upgraded 2000:1 contrast ratio will project life-like colors and images,
with blacker blacks, whiter whites, and crisp clarity. The Digital Video
Interface (DVI) allows for digital-to-digital image reproduction for vivid
video and data image quality. The PLUS V-1100 also supports the latest video
standards including 480p, 780p and 1080i High Definition imaging. Picture-in-picture
functionality and digital zoom round out the many multimedia features.
"Our customers have been very pleased with the reliability and portability
of the easy to use V-series," said Mark Hand, Vice President of Sales &
Marketing at PLUS Vision. "The high 2000:1 contrast, and 1000 lumen brightness
makes the new V-1100 ready for any application. Our customers also like
that it can easily fit into a briefcase or purse for travel to anywhere."
The V Series projectors ship with all necessary data, video and audio cables,
a full-function remote control and soft carrying case. The new V-1100 will
be available to end-users for less than $3,000.
