PLUS VISION SELECTS HOUSTON SCHOOL FOR EDUCATION SPOTLIGHT AWARD
Award recognizes education effort to provide multi-media instruction to children
BEAVERTON, ORE. - January 29, 2004 - PLUS Vision Corporation of America,
the leader in projector miniaturization technology, announced today, that
it has selected the Barbara Jordan High School for Technology & Careers
in Houston Texas for the PLUS Vision Spotlight Award. Reflecting PLUS
Vision's commitment to increase the effective use of multimedia learning
in K-12 education, the school will receive a DLP projector and an electronic
copyboard.
"The Barbara Jordan School has a unique technology & science program that
is in great need for advanced technology," said S. Mark Hand, vice president

commitment to education, PLUS will present to the projector and white board
to the students to how the technology is used in real-world presentations,"

The PLUS Vision projector and white board will add activities to The
Barbara Jordan School curriculum and allow for interactive learning.
The white board will be utilized to print out class notes and technical
information from classes such as science. The high performance projector
will also enable students to view graphics and deliver presentations
to other students.
"The use of a whiteboard and a projector in the classroom will tremendously
increase the interaction and the retention levels of the students," said
Rever Givens, principal of Barbara Jordan High School of Technology & Careers.

using these technologies will give the students a sense of control over
their learning,” added Givens.
PLUS Vision chose the high school that is part of Houston Independent School
District from a pool of applicants that submitted unique examples of how
the PLUS Vision projector and white board would be used if the school was
awarded it.
The Education Spotlight award grant was first established by PLUS Vision
in 2001. In PLUS Vision’s efforts to enhance the education opportunities
for K-12 students, the company developed a program for primary and secondary
schools. The award grants one projector and an electronic copyboard to a
