From feature packed miniature projectors, to one-touch-print-and-go electronic whiteboards,
PLUS demonstrates its leadership in digital meeting technologies at INFOCOMM 2004.
ATLANTA, GA., INFOCOMM 2004 CONFERENCE, BOOTH #4085, and Beaverton, Ore.,
June 9, 2004 - PLUS Vision Corporation of America, the leader in projector
miniaturization technology, today at InfoComm 2004, unveiled its newest
projector, the U4-232, an 1800 lumen, 3.3 pound, XGA Projector. The debut
of the U4-232 marks yet another milestone in PLUS Vision’s history of
offering best-in-class performance tools for presenters with the brightest
projector less than 3.5 pounds.
"PLUS Vision's goal is to provide mobile professionals with the most
versatile projectors that also have the same capabilities of conference
room projectors such as ample brightness. The U4-232 also has the added
advantage of being light to carry," said S. Mark Hand, vice president,
sales and marketing for PLUS Vision Corporation. "In the fourth quarter
of this year we will expand the capabilities of our portable projectors
even further by introducing sophisticated features like network support
and wireless communications, making a PLUS projector perfect for any
meeting, anywhere."
Featuring Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing™ technology
and coupled with additional proprietary technology from PLUS Vision, the
U4-232 features industry leading contrast levels that produce life-like
colors and images. With "EcoMode", the U4-232 allows you to extend lamp

cost of ownership.
Additionally, the U4-232 offers digital zoom, digital keystone correction,
and a presentation timer. The timer can be set for presentation times of
10 to 60 minutes in 10-minute increments. The PLUS Vision U4-232 supports
the latest in video standards, including 480p, 780p and 1080i High Definition
imaging. Its DVI (pure digital signaling), RGB (data), component and
composite inputs (video), enable the presenter to manage any multi-media
presentation or video viewing.
Additional Infocomm Highlights:
At InfoComm, PLUS Vision will exhibit the world’s thinnest digital projector,
the V3-131, perfect for the mobile presenter. Thin enough to fit into any
bag, and weighing only 2 lbs., the V3-131 includes advanced features and
functions found with larger projectors, including auto-sensing setup for
quick and easy presentations, digital keystone correction, and built-in
password security protection.
The U5 Series of projectors will also be displayed. The U5 Series features
four projector models that weigh 4 lbs. and have brightness ranging from 1600
lumens to 3000 lumens. All U5 models offer a 2000-hour lamp life, with
an "Eco-Mode" option to extend lamp life up to 3000 hours. In addition to
whisper-quiet performance, the U5 employs Digital Light Processing™ technology
from Texas Instruments ensuring that every user will be able to enjoy a
lifetime of superior image quality.
PLUS Vision will also exhibit the M5 "personal" electronic whiteboard. Featuring
a unique design that measures only 46 inches by 28 inches and offers two writing
surfaces, the new PLUS Vision M-5 whiteboard allows the user to save all notes
directly to a computer. The board can also be mounted on any surface including
any office wall, cubicle wall or on a traditional stand.
PLUS Vision electronic whiteboards allow users to capture information written
on the writing surface by either storing the information into its internal memory
or optional CF memory card or printing it out by a thermal or plain paper printer.
Notes stored in the whiteboard’s internal memory or on a CF memory card can be
easily retrieved at a later time, printed out, stored on networks or emailed to
